THRYV is reader-supported. We may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site — at no extra cost to you, and it never influences our verdicts. Full disclosure.

Trust

Editorial standards & independence

These are the rules we hold ourselves to. They exist so a reader can act on one of our guides without wondering who paid for what — and so a partner knows exactly what is, and isn't, available commercially.

Recommendations are made on merit

A product earns a place in a guide because the available evidence supports it — never because a brand pays us, sends us product, or runs a campaign with us.

Awards and rankings are assigned after scoring is complete, from the same rubric applied to every model in the guide. No brand sees a ranking before publication, and no brand can review or approve editorial copy.

The wall between editorial and revenue

Our commercial work with brands is handled separately from our editorial work. Commercial conversations do not enter the scoring process, and the presence or absence of an affiliate program for a product has no bearing on whether it appears in a guide.

Where an affiliate relationship exists on a page, it is disclosed on that page in plain language, above and below the content.

How our scores are derived

THRYV Composite Scores are clearly-labelled editorial assessments, not our own laboratory measurements. They synthesize manufacturer specifications, independent third-party lab and field testing, and verified owner reviews against a fixed, published rubric.

We do not present third-party test results as our own, and we do not publish star ratings that imply testing we did not perform. Every guide lists the sources behind its verdict.

Dating, updating and correcting

Every analysis carries a visible last-updated date. When new evidence appears — a redesigned model, a new independent test, a discontinued product — we revise the guide and move the date.

If we get something wrong, we correct it and say what changed. Email contact@thryv-apparel.com with any correction request and we will respond.

What we will not do

We do not fabricate test results, invent user testimonials, or publish reviews of products that do not exist. We do not accept payment for a ranking, and we do not remove a negative finding at a brand's request.

We do not use incentivized, cashback or loyalty traffic, toolbars or adware, cookie-stuffing, or sub-affiliate networks, and we do not bid on advertisers' trademark terms.

Who is accountable

THRYV is published by Thryv Apparel Inc (United States). Editorial responsibility sits with the founder and the THRYV Research Desk, and our full contact details are published on the site.

If you believe a guide is inaccurate, incomplete or unfairly weighted, tell us — we take corrections seriously and treat them as part of the process, not an exception to it.
